INDIVIDUALS

We encourage individuals to patronize their local bookseller. You can search for an independent bookstore near you by visiting the American Booksellers Association online directory. Our books are also available at national chains including Barnes & Noble Booksellers and Borders Books. You can order our books at many online booksellers including, Amazon.com, BookSense.com, and Barnes & Noble.com.

You may also order our books online using our online store. VISA and MasterCard are accepted. Click the "Buy" button on the individual book page. You will be directed to the MHS Press Online store.

You may also print an order form to order by fax or mail. Orders from individuals must be prepaid in U.S. dollars or charged to VISA or MasterCard and must include $5.00 shipping for the first book plus $1.00 for each additional book. Please include 6.5% sales tax for orders sent to a Minnesota address, 7% for those sent to a St. Paul, MN address, and 9% for orders sent to an Illinois address. Please allow two to four weeks for delivery. Make checks or money orders payable to the Chicago Distribution Center and include on credit card orders your name, address, zip code, credit card type, card number, expiration date, signature, and daytime phone number.

Foreign Orders: Shipping charges for all foreign orders is $6.00 for the first book plus $1.00 for each additional book. Canadian customers must add 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Orders must be prepaid in U.S. dollars. Checks drawn on foreign banks must specify U.S. funds.

Electronic Orders: EDI; PUBNET at 202-5280.

Terms: Net 30 days from date on invoice. Customers will be billed on account if credit references have been approved. Customers with past due accounts are required to settle unpaid invoices before additional orders will be processed. Opening accounts must prepay first order. Payment in U.S. dollars only.

STOP Orders: STOP orders are accepted with payment in U.S. dollars; discount is 40%. Shipping charges are $5.00 for the first book plus $1.00 for each additional copy (Canadian and other foreign orders $6.00 plus $1.00 for each additional copy).

Returns from Retailers: No permission is required. Overstock copies must be clean and in saleable condition (no pricing residue, bent corners, or shelf-worn covers will be accepted). Borealis Books retains the right of final determination regarding the saleability of returned books. Returns deemed unsaleable will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense. Returns will be accepted at 100% of the invoiced price provided the books are in print and in saleable condition and the original invoice information is included. If invoice information is not included, credit will be given at 45%. OSI or OP titles are not returnable 60 days after declaration of status. LIBRARIES, SCHOOLS & NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Libraries, schools, and nonprofit organizations receive a 10% discount on all books if orders are accompanied by a purchase order or on institutional letterhead. You must specifically request the discount at the time of the order in order to receive it.

INSTRUCTORS - EXAMINATION COPIES

Examination copies will be sent to instructors considering any book for classroom use. An invoice will accompany the book. If 10 or more copies are ordered within 90 days, the invoice should be returned to the Order Dept. with notification that an order has been placed. The invoice will then be cancelled and the book may be kept as a desk copy. If not adopted, the book may be purchased at a 20% academic discount or returned without obligation within the 90-day period. Requests should be made on institutional letterhead and should give the course and projected enrollment.
